WHY AFFINITY PROGRAMS?
LET’S START AT THE BEGINNING…
A Chamber of Commerce is a membership organization that seeks to further the interests of local businesses. From public policy to networking, Chambers strive daily to connect people, empower leaders, and grow business. According to the American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE), there are approximately 7,000 chambers doing incredible work across the United States.
Chambers are voluntary membership organizations, mostly reliant on dues for funding. Here’s where “affinity programs” come in! In an effort to expand revenue beyond dues, Chambers across the country have turned to affinity programs. Affinity programs partner with a business to create a negotiated discount or cost saving benefit for Chamber members, based on the purchasing power of the network of businesses. Members save on goods and services, and the Chamber benefits from a portion of the sales (paid by the partner business). Everyone wins!
From office supplies to health insurance, even credit card processing – chambers everywhere are finding opportunities for non-dues revenue. Now, you can impact your bottom line, AND help your members grow and succeed!

Chamber Management Services, LLC was created in 1998 to manage the affinity and non-dues revenue programs of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. Over the years, we’ve developed some great programs, but admittedly had some misses (we can tell you those stories in person!). But, each step of the way, we’ve learned, adapted, and found new ways to succeed.
Fast forward to today...
We’ve partnered with several organizations to create affinity programs that are designed by a Chamber, for a Chamber. As a result, the KC Chamber is achieving tens of thousands of dollars in annual non-dues revenue. And, Chamber Management Services is proud to now offer two programs nationally, providing these same significant benefits to chambers and their business members across the country. Join us today!
